Generally much lower than that of the UK and northern Europe, although some British imported foodstuffs may be more expensive when bought locally (you can of course, visit Gibraltar where you will find Safeways selling goods at the same price as UK).
Other goods such as alcohol, tobacco and petrol are considerably cheaper in Spain than the UK and northern Europe, and even cheaper in Gibraltar.
A visit to the local rastro (market) will enable you to buy fruit, vegetables, clothes, shoes, household linen etc. at very reasonable prices. |
