Spanish Property Demand

Additional Costs

The buying price of your property attracts a charge of 8% (7% Spanish IVA (VAT) and 1% Stamp Duty).

Legal costs which cover land registry search and registration fees, title deed search and registration fees, as well as notary fees and stamp duty amount to approximately 2% of the purchase price of your property.

We’ll find the best available units in quality developments that suit your investment budget. A typical reservation fee is €3,000 – €6,000 which is paid directly to the developer. This ensures that your property is taken off the market and reserved in your name.

Normally within 30 days, private purchase contracts are exchanged. At this stage your legal representatives will be required to hand over your first installment of funds, usually anything from 15% to 30% of the purchase price, minus the reservation fee amount already made.
